Será possível aquilo que acontece de forma ocorrente, ser um ponto de conexão para poder articular um corpo de pensamento da imagem, onde a percepção está constantemente questionada?
O corpo de trabalho apresentado nesta exposição propõe um espaço de indagação sobre a imagem enquanto elemento de uma estrutura perceptiva e de troca simbólica, onde as mediações, naquilo que pode e não pode ser visto, possam originar modos de habitar um outro mundo, idealmente interpelativo.
Estas imagens conectam realidade e imaginário de forma a constituírem-se agentes intermediários de conhecimento sensorial nas múltiplas possibilidades de pensar e construir as imagens como fenómenos perceptivos.
A anulação da percepção do tempo é devolvida com um “novo tempo”, um tempo rítmico, vibrado.
Qual o centro das imagens? Se há um centro da imagem, quais os limites do “espaço composição”? Perante esses limites, onde se posiciona o eu em permanente deslocação?
Is it possible that what happens spontaneously might serve as a point of connection for articulating a body of thought on the image, where perception is constantly called into question?
The body of work presented in this exhibition proposes a space for inquiry into the image as an element of a perceptual structure and symbolic exchange, where mediations – in what can and cannot be seen – may give rise to ways of inhabiting another world, ideally one that provokes reflection.
These images connect reality and the imaginary in such a way as to act as intermediary agents of sensory knowledge within the multiple possibilities of thinking about and constructing images as perceptual phenomena.
The suspension of the perception of time is replaced by a ‘new time’, a rhythmic, pulsating time.
What is the centre of the images? If there is a centre to the image, what are the boundaries of the ‘compositional space’? Faced with these boundaries, where does the self—in a state of constant displacement—position itself?
